Hoven Farms… Now with Bison!

Hoven Farms is now selling fresh cut bison at the Kingsland Farmers Market. We are just starting with a few cuts (ground bison, rib eye steaks, sirloins teaks, round roasts) but as we move closer to summer, we will be adding more and more items. Are there any cuts that you want?

The Difference Between Grass Fed Beef and Grass Finished Beef

Grass Fed means that the animals have been fed grass, but not exclusively.  Their diet may have been supplemented with grain, but they were on pasture and were eating grass. Grass Finished means that the animals were eating only grass and received no extra supplementation of grain. And now you know!
